To all our friends who enables us to make a difference
Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site. Here is a little bit of information, just to give you an idea of what our organization is all about.
Doulos Community Project is a duly registered non-profit organization. We see ourselves as servants of hope! We serve communities who have lost hope so that they can start dreaming again about the future. Our project has been going since June 2006 and in that time we became aware of the fact that the Lord always provides, sometimes even before we asked.
“Doulos” is a Greek word meaning “servant, or slave”, and that is exactly what the Doulos-project is all about. We see ourselves as servants of Jesus Christ and we serve hope to the poverty-stricken and the hopeless.
The Doulos-Community Support and Development project ( Doulos CSD)strives to make a difference in poverty-stricken communities. We do this by providing food, clothing, blankets, furniture and shelter; bible-study; counselling and most importantly entrepreneurial development. We give whatever we receive! What we actually want to achieve is to give hope!
Doulos CSD Has been involved with the Maranatha Church of Christ in to make a difference in the communities of Soshanguve, Hammanskraal, Mogogelo and Kekana Village. Our target for this community during 2012-13 is to provide one million meals and train one thousand entrepreneurs
The enormity of the poverty in our country is staggering and if we do not succeed in breaking the vicious poverty circle, we face a bleak future. This problem is widespread and it affects the whole of our community.
With your support we are already making some difference in the lives of a number of people. We believe that mere words will not suffice in the long, or even short, term. What we need to make a bigger impact, however, is people with a passion to let the words of our Lord, Jesus Christ, come alive in the poor and destitute communities!. We are prepared to do the hard work at ground level, but we need your ongoing support.
